Toyota Driver Jose Ramos and 4 Others Killed in Highway 41 Collision [Kings County, CA]

Kings County, CA (April 14, 2026) – Jose Ramos, 35, of Oakdale, and four others, were killed in a Highway 41 collision Sunday morning.

The deadly traffic crash happened around 10:30 a.m. south of York Avenue.

Troopers said an eastbound Chevrolet Silverado attempting to pass slower traffic, crossed into the northbound lane. Consequently crashing head-on onto an oncoming Toyota Prius.

As a result, the Silverado then overturned and caught fire on the shoulder.

The driver of the Toyota Prius, Ramos, along with the Silverado’s driver and three passengers, died at the collision.

Officers are investigating if DUI was a factor in the deadly crash, and asks anyone who may have details to contact the CHP Coalinga Area office at (559) 935-2093.
