1 Child Dead, Jose Salazar Arrested in Denver Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 25

DENVER, CO – Last Tuesday, a fatal 4-vehicle crash on Interstate 25 near Loveland left one child dead, and Jose Salazar, 35, was arrested.

The incident happened on Interstate 25 near Loveland.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash involved a box truck, a 2018 Lexus GX, a 2022 KIA Telluride and a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado that was hauling a trailer.

Moreover, responders pronounced an occupant of the Lexus, who was a minor, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported two adults and another minor to a hospital with minor injuries.

Furthermore, the crash closed northbound Interstate 25 at Crossroads Boulevard but has long since reopened.

At this time, Jose Salazar has been arrested as the responsible party for the crash. He was driving the box truck. He has been charged with multiple counts, including vehicular manslaughter and felony child abuse.

Due to limited information, the CSP continued investigating the Denver crash.
