Motorcyclist Identified After Fatal Crash on Ventura Freeway in Woodland Hills

Woodland Hills, CA (November 8, 2025) — Authorities identified 25-year-old Joshua Spearin as the motorcyclist who died following a crash Saturday morning on the southbound Ventura (101) Freeway near Fallbrook Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 8:30 a.m. when the motorcycle struck a black Chevrolet SUV, causing the SUV to hit a white Volkswagen sedan. Paramedics transported the rider, identified as Joshua Spearin, to Dignity Health–Northridge Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 9 a.m.

No other injuries were reported in the incident. The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
