Springfield Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck by Two Vehicles on Kearney Street

Springfield, MO (March 1, 2026) — On Friday evening, 27-year-old Josiph Losson of Springfield died after a pedestrian-involved crash on East Kearney Street in Springfield.

Officers responded around 6:35 p.m. to a collision in front of 725 East Kearney Street.

Investigators determined that Losson was crossing the roadway when a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee struck him. A second vehicle, a 2001 Lexus IS, then also hit him.

Emergency responders transported Losson to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The Springfield Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
