Josue Reyes Dies in Tragic Crash on South Roosevelt Road 7

Injuries Reported in Deadly Roosevelt County Collision

Roosevelt County, NM (August 22, 2025) – A injuries are reported after a fatal crash on South Roosevelt Road 7 that claimed the life of Josue Reyes, a local dairy worker.

According to investigators, Reyes was driving a 2014 Nissan when he failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with another vehicle at the intersection.

Reyes, who had borrowed the car from a friend to travel to work at Douma Dairy on NM 206, was the only person in his vehicle. He died at the scene, and his body was transported to Albuquerque for an autopsy.

The passengers in the other vehicle suffered injuries and were taken to Roosevelt General Hospital. Authorities confirmed they are expected to make a full recovery.
