Juan Garcia of Vancouver Injured in DUI Crash on Interstate 205 [Vancouver, WA]

Vancouver, WA (May 8, 2025) – Juan Garcia, a 27-year-old passenger from Vancouver, was injured following a DUI crash on Interstate 205 Tuesday afternoon.

It was around 3:50 p.m. when Vanessa Rodriguez, 25, also of Vancouver, was speeding from Highway 500  to the ramp of I-205. Troopers said she lost control of the 2002 Toyota 4-Runner. 

As a result, the SUV slid onto the right shoulder, struck a ditch, and rolled.

Rodriguez, and her passenger, Garcia, were not wearing their seatbelts during the collision. They were both thrown from the vehicle and sustained injuries. 

Rescuers transported the driver and passenger to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.

Rodriguez is now facing charges of vehicular assault and was booked into the Clark County Jail.

Troopers said no other vehicles were involved in the collision.
