Juan Lepe Dies in 2-Vehicle Collision on Atlantic Avenue

SUV Driver Injured in Long Beach Fatal Crash

Long Beach, CA (September 15, 2026) — On Thursday, authorities identified Juan Lepe as the 23-year-old motorcyclist who died after a crash involving an SUV in Long Beach.

The Long Beach Police Department said the collision happened around 1:45 a.m. near Atlantic Avenue and Villa Park.

Investigators determined that an SUV was turning left from Villa Park onto northbound Atlantic Avenue with a green traffic signal when it collided with a Honda motorcycle traveling southbound on Atlantic Avenue.

Police said the motorcyclist, identified as Lepe, was taken to a hospital, where he later died. The SUV driver also went to a hospital and remained in stable condition.
