Juan Nava Hernandez Dies in Pedestrian Crash on South 10th Street [McAllen, TX]

McAllen, TX (August 2, 2025) – A tragic pedestrian crash on South 10th Street claimed the life of a 36-year-old Juan Nava Hernandez early Friday morning.

According to McAllen police, the deadly crash happened round 2:44 a.m. in the 200 block of South 10th Street

McAllen police responded to a crash involving a pedestrian. Officers found Hernandez, a McAllen resident, with serious injuries. Sadly, he did not survive.

Investigators believe 28-year-old John Anthony Saenz struck Nava Hernandez and then fled the scene. Police have issued an arrest warrant for Saenz on a charge of collision involving death, a second-degree felony.

Saenz is described as 5’8”, 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. His last known address is in Edinburg.
