Juana Orozco Guerrero of Bakersfield Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on Union Avenue [Bakersfield, CA]

Bakersfield, CA (August 13, 2025) – 16-year-old Juana Orozco Guerrero was killed in a 2-vehicle crash on Union Avenue Sunday evening.

The authorities responded past 6 p.m. on August 10 to the 4400 block area due to a report of a two-vehicle crash.

Officers said a Hyundai and a Jeep were involved in a crash.

According to the authorities, the Jeep traveling west on Panorama Drive crossed into the northbound lane of Union Avenue and collided with the northbound Hyundai.

Speed and drug intoxication are believed to be contributing factors in the crash.

Juana Orozco Guerrero was a passenger in the Hyundai. She sustained severe injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

The Hyundai’s driver, along with two other passengers, incurred moderate injuries and were transported to a hospital.

Moreover, a man in the Jeep was also hospitalized with moderate injuries.

Police believed speed and drug intoxication were factors in this deadly crash.
