Julieta Ayala Killed in 2-Car Collision on Studebaker Road [Long Beach, CA]

Long Beach, CA (June 24, 2025) – 86-year-old Julieta Ayala of Long Beach was killed in a 2-car collision on Studebaker Road Sunday afternoon.

According to authorities, the deadly crash happened at around 2:07 p.m. at Studebaker Road and Los Santos Drive.

Reports say that a two-vehicle collision near El Dorado Park in East Long Beach on killed an 86-year-old woman and injured another driver.

Authorities say that Ayala was driving a 2015 Toyota Corolla, stopped past a designated stop sign and entered the lanes of Studebaker Road. A 45-year-old Long Beach resident, driving a 2016 Chevrolet Colorado northbound on Studebaker Road, then struck Ayala’s Toyota Corolla in the intersection. Authorities pronounced Ayala dead at the scene.

The driver of the Chevrolet Colorado remained at the scene, cooperated with investigators, and went to a hospital with minor injuries. Police do not consider speed, distracted driving, or impaired driving as contributing factors. Studebaker Road temporarily closed for the investigation but has since reopened.
