Justin Gutierrez Dies in Horrific ATV Crash on Bauer Road [Santa Maria, TX]

Santa Maria, TX (March 11, 2025) – 29-year-old Justin Gutierrez was killed and another man was hurt on Saturday evening in a horrific ATV crash on Bauer Road.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the fatal incident happened at the intersection with FM 2556.

Reports say that the tragic ATV crash claimed the life of Gutierrez and left another man seriously injured.

Troopers determined that the ATV was traveling westbound on a dirt road when the driver failed to stop at a T-intersection. The vehicle went airborne over a canal and crashed front-first on the other side. Neither the driver nor the passenger wore helmets or seatbelts.

Emergency responders transported both men to a local hospital, where Gutierrez succumbed to his injuries on Sunday. The passenger remains hospitalized with serious injuries. Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
