2 Juvenile Pedestrians Injured in Crash at US 85 in Eaton

Eaton, CA (January 21, 2026) – A juvenile pedestrian was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after a crash at US 85 and Collins Street, where a second juvenile also suffered injuries.

According to a news release from the Eaton Police Department, officers responded to the intersection of U.S. 85 and Collins Street at approximately 4 p.m. after receiving reports of a pedestrian crash. 

Upon arrival, police found that a vehicle had struck at least one juvenile pedestrian.

Emergency responders transported one juvenile to a hospital for treatment. Authorities confirmed that another juvenile pedestrian was also injured in the incident. 

Due to the victims being minors, police will not release identifying information.

The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated fully with the investigation, according to police. 

The cause of the crash has not been released, and the investigation is ongoing.
