The collision occurred around 7:20 p.m. in the 200 block of Roselawn Avenue, the Modesto Police Department reported. Officers said a vehicle struck the bicycle’s front tire, causing the young rider to fall to the ground and sustain injuries.

Modesto Fire Department crews responded to the scene and provided immediate medical care. 

As a precaution, the juvenile was transported to a local trauma center for further evaluation. 

Officials confirmed the injuries were considered minor.
