Kaitlynn Garcia Dies in Tragic Rear-End Crash on FM 665 [Bishop, TX]

Bishop, TX (July 25, 2023) On Sunday, 24-year-old Kaitlynn Garcia died in a rear-end crash on FM 665.

According to the Department of Public Safety, the fatal 3-vehicle collision happened on Farm-to-Market 665 approaching near the stop sign on Farm-to-Market 70.

Reports say that 28-year-old Humberto Garza of Eagle Pass was on a westbound vehicle that rear-ended Garcia’s vehicle.

Officials say that Garcia was parked behind a vehicle at the stop sign at the intersection when Garza rear-ended her vehicle.

The impact of the crash caused Garcia’s vehicle to hit another vehicle. The vehicle struck was occupied by 57-year-old Marty Henderson and 19-year-old Vivian Henderson, both from Robstown.

Afterward, Garcia’s vehicle veered off the road and rolled over onto the grass on the northside of the crossing. Garcia was trapped inside her vehicle.

Authorities say that good Samaritans extricated Garcia out of her vehicle, and attempted to save her; however, their attempts were not successful. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the 3 other people involved in the crash were taken to Alice CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital and have been released.

Officials say that speed is a factor in the fatal crash. Authorities are investigating the fatal 3-vehicle collision.
