Male Passenger Hospitalized After Rollover Crash on I-35
San Antonio, TX (November 29, 2025) — On Thursday evening, a male passenger was hurt and hospitalized after a rollover crash on I-35 that led to the arrest of 29-year-old Kara Corona.
According to authorities, Corona landed in custody after crashing her vehicle during an attempted escape from police along Interstate 35 in Live Oak.
Reports say that at around 8:25 p.m., an officer tried to stop Corona as she drove south on the 12800 block of I-35. Police say she sped off after briefly slowing down, prompting dispatchers to alert San Antonio police. The Live Oak officer backed off while Corona exited onto O’Connor Road, where the officer later found her car overturned after a crash.
Corona managed to climb out of the wreck with no major injuries, though police noted signs of intoxication. She was treated at a hospital, released, and then arrested on suspicion of evading arrest in a motor vehicle.
Her male passenger required extrication and was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. Investigators expect additional charges as they continue reviewing the case.
