59-Year-Old Karen Conway Fatally Hit on Ralph Appezzato Memorial Parkway [Alameda, CA]

Alameda, CA (January 17, 2025) – 59-year-old Karen Conway of Alameda was fatally struck on Ralph Appezzato Memorial Parkway Wednesday evening.

It was before 6:30 p.m. when a 70-year-old Alameda man was making a westbound turn and struck the pedestrian.

Immediately, the police responded to the scene and located Karen Conway in the roadway suffering from life-threatening injuries. The paramedics rushed her to the hospital where she later died. 

The driver, on the other hand, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Police said they are still investigating and the exact cause of the collision has not been determined yet.
