Infant and Toddler Seriously Hurt in San Bernardino Hit-and-Run, Chester Lamont Gordon, 27, Arrested
(December 4, 2025) — Karina Burgos and her two young children were rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a hit-and-run crash on Arrowhead Avenue, earlier this week.
According to San Bernardino police, the crash happened Monday as the Burgos’ and several families were walking home from a playdate. While crossing Arrowhead Avenue at 27th Street, a gray vehicle sped through the intersection and slammed into a baby stroller, dragging it down the block before the driver took off.
Reports say that the Burgos’ 3-year-old daughter Alina and 4-month-old son Alonso were critically injured. Witnesses said the scene was chaotic as the stroller was dragged and the mother ran after the vehicle. Nearby residents rushed in to help.
The children remain hospitalized with severe injuries. Karina Burgos said her daughter suffered bleeding in the head, while her son underwent surgery for a broken leg that required a metal plate and screws. Both children are showing early signs of improvement.
Detectives have arrested a driver, Chester Lamont Gordon, 27, of San Bernardino, who was driving the gray-colored vehicle. Anyone with information is urged to contact the San Bernardino Police Department’s Traffic Unit at 909-384-5742.
A Gofundme has been raised for the children by their aunt, Yesenia Burgos. Please consider donating to their hospital expenses.

What Should You Do When Injured in Hit-and-Run Collision?
