Kaylee Peters Arrested in Deadly Crash on West Price Avenue [Spokane, WA]

Spokane, WA (June 13, 2025) — A woman died after a vehicle struck her early Wednesday morning in north Spokane, leading to the arrest of 40-year-old Kaylee Peters on suspicion of vehicular homicide.

According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 1 a.m. on West Price Avenue near Division Street.

Investigators believe the pedestrian had stopped in the roadway with her dogs when an eastbound Toyota Camry struck her. The dogs reportedly escaped injury and ran from the scene.

Emergency responders transported the woman to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

Authorities identified the driver as Kaylee M. Peters. Deputies said Peters remained at the scene and reported the incident. During the investigation, deputies conducted field sobriety evaluations and obtained a blood sample for testing after suspecting impairment.

Officials arrested Peters and booked her into the Spokane County Jail on suspicion of vehicular homicide. The investigation remains ongoing, and the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the victim’s identity at a later time.
