Kaylinn Chuchill Killed in Horrific Crash on Padre Boulevard [South Padre Island, TX]

South Padre Island, TX (August 20, 2025) – 34-year-old Kaylinn Chuchill of Fort Worth tragically lost her life in a golf cart crash on Padre Boulevard.

According to authorities, the fatal crash happened around 2:15 a.m. at Padre Boulevard and Morningside Street.

Reports say that the collision left Chuchill dead and several others injured, leading to multiple charges against the driver of a truck involved.

Police said that the a Chevrolet truck, driven by 60-year-old David Rivera, collided with a golf cart carrying six people. Rivera was the sole occupant of the truck.

Emergency crews rushed all six golf cart passengers to local hospitals. One of them, Chuchill, later died from her injuries. The five other passengers have since been released from medical care.

Authorities arrested Rivera at the scene on suspicion of intoxication. He was later charged with one count of intoxication manslaughter and six counts of intoxication assault. Following arraignment, Rivera received a $180,000 bond.

The investigation remains ongoing.
