Vehicle Crash in Jamestown Seriously Injures 2 People

Tuolumne, CA (April 16, 2026) – Kelly Gates, 58, sustained injuries following a Highway 108 solo-vehicle collision Sunday afternoon.

The traffic accident happened around 4:30 p.m. at the intersection with Highway 120, near Tulloch Dam Road in Jamestown.

Troopers said Anthony Espinola, 59, was driving a westbound 2004 Nissan 350Z at an unknown speed.

Police added that Espinola’s allowed drove onto the south roadway edge of the highway, and crashed into an embankment.

The vehicle then overturned multiple times.

Espinola and his passenger, Gates, sustained major injuries.

Rescuers flew Espinola to Doctors Medical Center and Gates to Memorial Medical Center.

Investigating officers do not suspect DUI as a factor.
