John Cram Killed, Passenger Seriously Injured in Springfield Motorcycle Crash
Springfield, MO (June 20, 2025) — John Cram, a Springfield motorcyclist, lost his life, and his passenger, Kelsey Huyck, suffered serious injuries after a collision with a car on June 18.
According to the Springfield Police Department, officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Cherry Street and Dysart Avenue at approximately 8:56 p.m.
Investigators determined that a Chrysler Sebring entered the path of a westbound 2022 Kawasaki Ninja ridden by 30-year-old Cram. The motorcycle struck the car, ejecting both Cram and his passenger, 32-year-old Huyck.
Emergency crews transported both riders to a hospital with serious injuries. Cram later died from his injuries, while Huyck remained in serious condition.
Police arrested the 19-year-old driver of the Chrysler on suspicion of driving under the influence. Authorities booked him into the Greene County Jail, and the case will be forwarded to prosecutors for possible criminal charges.
The crash remains under investigation.
