Berthoud Firefighter Ken Bradley Injured in I-25 Wrong-Way Crash [Denver, CO]

2-Vehicle Crash north of Coors Field Results in Severe Injuries

Denver, CO (May 22, 2026) Ken Bradley, a veteran Berthoud firefighter, sustained serious injuries following an I-25 wrong-way crash Sunday morning.

The accident report stated that Bradley was driving north in the express lane of the freeway, north of Coors Field, when he was struck by a wrong-way driver.

Rescuers said Bradley was driving a truck during the collision, and they had to cut the roof and the doors of that vehicle to get Ken out.

Bradley sustained severe injuries including fractures in both legs and one arm, a dislocated shoulder, broken ribs, a collapsed lung and a concussion.

The wrong-way driver, on the other hand, was killed in the collision.

Bradley has undergone several surgeries at Denver Health and will have more in the next few days. He joined Berthoud Fire in 2021, after 20 years as an Air Force firefighter.

The authorities are conducting a further investigation.

We at Sweet Lawyers would like to send our condolences to the loves ones of the driver killed in this collision. Similarly, we also wish firefighter Ken Bradley a fast and smooth recovery from his injuries.
