27-Year-Old Kettle Man Airlifted in SR 395 Head-On Crash [Loon Lake, WA]

Loon Lake, WA (May 20, 2026) – A 27-year-old man from Kettle Falls was airlifted following a SR 395 head-on crash Monday evening.

The two-vehicle crash happened approximately four miles south of Loon Lake.

Investigators said a pickup truck was northbound and a smaller car was southbound on the highway, when the northbound vehicle crossed the center line and crashed head-on onto the southbound vehicle.

Both vehicles struck the guardrails on opposite sides of the freeway, with the pickup truck blocking both northbound and southbound lanes, while the car stopped in the northbound lane.

The 32-year-old Maple Valley man who was driving the pickup truck was taken to Sacred Heart by ambulance. He was cited for crossing over the center line,
