Kimberly Rodriguez Aguirre Dies in Shocking Crash on SR 410 [Yakima, WA]

Yakima, WA (July 18, 2026) — A single-vehicle crash on State Route 410 near Greenwater claimed the life of 30-year-old Kimberly Rodriguez Aguirre and injured two others Thursday morning.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Rodriguez Aguirre was one of three women traveling in a 2006 Subaru when the vehicle lost control near Corral Pass Road at milepost 53 around 9:30 a.m. Investigators said the car left the roadway, struck a tree, and overturned into a ditch about 30 feet from the highway.

Rodriguez Aguirre, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

The two other occupants, ages 27 and 26, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment.

Authorities said the crash happened after the vehicle’s wheels left the roadway. Crews closed the highway for more than four hours while they investigated and cleared the scene.

The Washington State Patrol continues to investigate the collision.
