1 Person Killed in Desert Hot Springs Pedestrian Accident near Palm Drive and Hacienda Avenue

DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (May 15, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, authorities arrested Kristiana Raylene Saiz after a tragic hit-and-run crash near Palm Drive.

The incident occurred at about 12:30 p.m. near Palm Drive and Hacienda Avenue.

According to officers, a car headed north on Palm Drive, approaching Hacienda. However, the suspect drove onto the sidewalk, hitting the pedestrian who was standing near a bus stop.

As a result, the 86-year-old pedestrian succumbed to injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, authorities later found and arrested the driver.
