LAPD Officer Injured in Crash on 105 Freeway [Lynwood, CA]

1 Person Hospitalized After Crash on 105 Freeway in Lynwood

Lynwood, CA (January 24, 2025) – A crash on 105 Freeway Friday night sent a Los Angeles Police Department officer to the hospital. 

The collision occurred around 7:35 p.m. on the eastbound 105 near the 710 Freeway while the officer was on patrol.

SkyFOX images showed a motorcycle at the scene, but it remains unclear if the officer was riding the motorcycle or in another vehicle during the crash.

Paramedics transported the officer to the hospital in stable condition, according to the LAPD’s statement to FOX 11.

The crash prompted the closure of all eastbound lanes on the 105 Freeway and caused significant delays in the westbound lanes. 

Traffic is currently being rerouted to the 710 Freeway.
