Lauren Ngaue Arrested in Wrong-Way Crash on US 65 [Pettis County, MO]

Pettis County, MO (August 28, 2025) On Wednesday evening, 32-year-old Lauren Ngaue of Marshall driving the wrong-way caused a serious crash on US 65, leaving one person badly injured and facing multiple charges.

Deputies reported that around 11:17 p.m., Ngaue drove a GMC Yukon southbound in the northbound lanes at high speeds. One deputy narrowly avoided being hit before another successfully deployed stop sticks near Route HH, disabling three of the SUV’s tires.

Despite the damage, Ngaue continued driving the wrong way and eventually struck a northbound Mitsubishi on Missouri Route 765. The Mitsubishi’s driver became pinned inside the vehicle and suffered significant injuries. Emergency crews freed the victim and transported them to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.

Authorities suspected Ngaue was intoxicated. After receiving medical care for her own injuries, she was booked into Pettis County Jail. She now faces possible charges including DWI, second-degree assault, resisting arrest, and multiple traffic violations.
