Passenger Killed in DUI Collision Near Rushing Hill Lookout

Turlock, CA (September 26, 2023) – The authorities arrested 30-year-old Leah Doucette of Turlock following a State Route 120 collision on Monday that killed her 42-year-old passenger from Salida.

Investigating officers said Doucette was eastbound on the freeway near Rushing Hill Lookout when she went off the road.

Doucette tried to correct it, however, she lost control of the vehicle and it overturned.

Doucette was thrown from her vehicle and sustained major injuries while her passenger was killed.

The authorities arrested Doucette on charges of felony DUI and released her to the Memorial Medical Center.

Officers are still investigating.
