Rider Dead in Long Beach Traffic Crash

Long Beach, CA (April 9, 2025) – Leonard Tanguay, a 70-year-old motorcyclist, died Monday following a Studebaker Road collision.

It was before 9 p.m. on March 24 when the collision between a 2022 Yamaha motorcycle and a 2011 Hyundai happened on Atherton Street.

Troopers said a southbound motorcycle driven by Leonard Tanguay on Studebaker Road collided with the Hyundai that was making a left turn west onto Atherton Street.

Tanguay was transported with critical injuries and died March 31 while receiving treatment.

Moreover, investigators do not consider speed, impaired driving, and distracted driving as contributing factors in the collision.
