Linda Diaz Dies in Highway 74 Crash Near Mermack Road

 
LAKE ELSINORE, CA (March 11, 2019) – A Riverside woman died Friday following a car accident with a street sweeper on Highway 74.
 
According to the Riverside County Coroner’s Office, the accident happened around 3:35 a.m. near Mermack Road.
 
A street sweeper had just completed cleaning the roadways and center median at the time. Soon after, Linda Diaz, 30, died when her SUV collided with the street sweeper.
 
According to a sheriff’s news release, alcohol and drugs are not suspected as factors in this crash. As a result, authorities are still investigating what caused the SUV to crash and overturn.
