Linda Scobee and 2 Others Hurt in 2-Vehicle Crash on SH 6 [Adair County, MO]

Adair County, MO (June 18, 2025) — A head-on crash on SH 6 on Monday evening left Linda Scobee and 2 Others injured, including a child.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision happened shortly after 7:15 p.m. on State Highway 6, about one mile east of Novinger.

Investigators said a car driven by 65-year-old Scobee of Green Castle was traveling west in the eastbound lane when it struck an oncoming van head-on.

The van’s 40-year-old driver from Kirksville and a 10-year-old girl riding as a passenger both suffered moderate injuries. Emergency crews transported them to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville for treatment.

Scobee also sustained moderate injuries and was taken to the same hospital.

Authorities cited Scobee on charges of DWI involving alcohol causing injury, careless and imprudent driving, and driving without a valid license. Investigators reported that the Kirksville woman and child were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, while Scobee’s seat belt use remains unknown.
