Lisa Anne Alestri Arrested in Alarming DUI Crash on Highway 50 [El Dorado County, CA]

EL DORADO COUNTY, CA (January 9, 2025) – On Friday, authorities arrested Lisa Anne Alestri after an alarming DUI Crash on Highway 50.

The incident started on eastbound Highway 50 near Sierra-at-Tahoe resort when authorities began a pursuit against a Toyota Prius traveling at a high rate of speed in the opposite lane. Then, the Toyota Prius collided head-on with an SUV at a chain control area.

Moreover, authorities confirmed that five occupants of the SUV sustained minor injuries in the crash.

Furthermore, officers arrested the driver of the Toyota Prius, identified as 63-year-old Alestri on suspicion of DUI causing bodily injury; evading peace officers; aggravated resisting arrest, and obstructing emergency workers.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
