Grant County, WA (October 28, 2025) — Lisli Gonzalez Garcia and Daniel Tlatenchi-Garcia were hospitalized Saturday evening following a head-on crash on State Route 243 near Mattawa.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash happened around 5:30 p.m. when 18-year-old Tlatenchi-Garcia driving a 2007 Acura northbound crossed the center line and struck a southbound 2014 Ford Fusion driven by 23-year-old Gonzalez Garcia.

The impact left both vehicles heavily damaged — the Ford came to rest in the northbound lane, while the Acura ended up on the roadside. Emergency crews transported both drivers to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their current conditions have not been released.

Investigators are determining whether impairment contributed to the crash and if charges will be filed.
