Two Injured in Clay County Crash; Driver Faces DWI Charges
Clay County, MO (September 4, 2026) — Authorities arrested Logan Lister after two people suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 169 in Clay County.
The collision happened shortly before 9 p.m. near 112th Street when 23-year-old Lister of Kansas City struck the rear of another car driven by a 48-year-old man from Pleasant Valley.
The impact sent Lister’s vehicle off the right side of the highway and into a tree. Lister suffered serious injuries, while the other driver sustained minor injuries. Emergency crews transported both men to Liberty Hospital for treatment.
Authorities said Lister faces charges related to driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving, and driving without insurance.

What Happens After a Traffic Collision?
The aftermath of a traffic accident can feel overwhelming. Between medical appointments, time away from work, insurance calls, and mounting bills, pursuing compensation on your own can be stressful and time-consuming.
That’s why one of the most important steps you can take after a crash is speaking with a personal injury attorney. Having legal guidance can significantly ease the burden. An experienced attorney understands how to investigate the accident, collect evidence, handle insurance companies, and protect your rights throughout the claims process.
Without legal support, many people find the process confusing and frustrating—and some end up receiving far less compensation than they deserve, or none at all. You shouldn’t have to suffer additional hardship because of someone else’s negligence.
