Duncanville, TX (June 10, 2025) — A street racing crash in Duncanville left Lucas Reyna, his mother, and grandmother dead, and another child critically injured on Monday night, according to police.

Authorities said the collision happened around 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of West Wheatland Road and South Cedar Ridge Drive. Investigators determined that a Chrysler 300 and a Toyota Corolla were involved in a high-speed street race when the Chrysler struck the Corolla, which then overturned.

Fire crews responded and extricated four occupants from the Corolla. Two women— 50-year-old Maria Rodriguez and a 72-year-old Teresa Rodriguez—died at the scene. Two 12-year-old boys were rushed to a hospital, where one later died from his injuries. The surviving child remains in critical condition.

Police identified one of the child victims as 12-year-old Reyna, while the injured boy was identified as his cousin, Ryan Rodriguez. Authorities confirmed that the Corolla was not part of the street race and was carrying innocent occupants.
