Luis Meraz Terrazas Arrested in Traffic Collision on I-25 [Denver, CO]

Woman Injured in I-25 Crash Investigated by Colorado State Patrol

Denver, CO (June 10, 2025) — 24-year-old Luis Meraz Terrazas was arrested after a shocking collision on I-25 Tuesday morning.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, the collision happened around 7:41 a.m. near milepost 245. Authorities said a Dodge Ram 2500 towing a skid steer trailer, a GMC Yukon, an Acura MDX, and a Toyota Tacoma were involved. A woman riding as a passenger in the Yukon suffered injuries and was transported to a hospital.

Troopers identified the Ram’s driver as Terrazas. Investigators cited him for careless driving resulting in injury, driving with expired license plates, and operating an unregistered vehicle.

The Colorado State Patrol continues to investigate the crash and is seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

Traffic accidents can happen in the blink of an eye — but their effects can last a lifetime. Every time you get behind the wheel, remember: staying alert and making safe choices can save lives. Avoid distractions, never drive under the influence, and always wear your seatbelt. Follow speed limits, keep a safe distance from other vehicles, and watch out for pedestrians and cyclists who share the road with you.

Take that extra moment to look both ways and yield cautiously at intersections — sometimes, that one second of attention can prevent a serious or even life-threatening crash.

Multi-vehicle crashes can happen quickly, especially during busy morning commutes. Drivers should maintain safe following distances, stay alert to changing traffic conditions, and ensure their vehicles are properly registered and maintained to help reduce the risk of collisions.

Life After a Traffic Accident: What You Should Know

A traffic accident doesn’t truly end when the vehicles are removed from the scene. For many victims, the real impact begins afterward. Physical injuries, emotional distress, and financial burdens can linger long after the crash, making recovery challenging and overwhelming.

Car accident injuries range from minor cuts and bruises to serious conditions like broken bones, spinal injuries, or traumatic brain injuries. Even injuries that seem small at first can develop into long-term health issues. Beyond the physical pain, many people experience anxiety, stress, sleep disturbances, and post-traumatic stress. At the same time, medical bills pile up and missed work leads to lost income, creating additional financial strain.

If someone else’s negligence caused your accident, you may have the right to pursue compensation. This can include coverage for medical expenses, lost wages, property damage, pain and suffering, and future care needs. Understanding your rights is crucial to protecting your future.
