Passenger Luis Orlando Martinez Dies in Vehicle Crash on Goolie Road [Donna, TX]

Donna, TX (December 24, 2024) – Luis Orlando Martinez, 27, of Weslaco, was killed in a vehicle crash on Goolie Road Sunday morning.

It was around 6:59 a.m. when the solo-vehicle crash happened north of El Dora Road.

Investigators said a 2017 gray GMC Acadia, occupied by two males and one female passenger was speeding north.

Suddenly, the GMC swerved off the roadway to the east side, rolled over, and threw two passengers out of the vehicle.

Immediately, the three passengers were transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

Luis Orlando Martinez, one of the passengers, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Officers said the occupants of the vehicle were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Texas DPS is investigating the collision.
