SUV Driver Loses Her Life in Rear-End Crash South of Warner Avenue

Huntington Beach, CA (April 17, 2026) – The authorities arrested 23-year-old Lukas McArgue of Long Beach following a PCH deadly DUI crash Wednesday night.

The deadly vehicle crash happened before 11 p.m., south of Warner Avenue.

Investigators said a Kia Soul driven by a 53-year-old Long Beach woman was northbound on PCH when it was rear-ended by a white BMW 328i driven by McArgue.

The impact of the collision sent the Kia into the wetlands, making it partially submerged.

Responding rescuers freed the victim from the Kia and she was transported to an area hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Moreover, the authorities booked McArgue on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and DUI combined with alcohol and drugs causing bodily injury.
