Lyda Paul and Angel Dominguez Hurt in 2-Car Crash on Highway 108 [Sonora, CA]

Sonora, CA (September 9, 2026) — Lyda Paul and Angel Dominguez suffered minor injuries Monday morning when two vehicles collided on Highway 108 near the lower Mono Way turnoff in Sonora.

According to the California Highway Patrol, 18-year-old Dominguez of Sanger was driving an eastbound Ford F-350 around 9:45 a.m. when his pickup crossed into the opposite lane and struck a Subaru Forester driven by 55-year-old Paul of Modesto.

Paul attempted to avoid the collision, but the impact pushed her Subaru into a concrete wall, causing it to overturn. Dominguez continued east before stopping.

Both drivers received treatment at the scene and were transported by ambulance to Adventist Health Sonora. CHP said alcohol or drugs were not suspected in the crash.

Authorities temporarily closed Highway 108 while crews cleaned up spilled vehicle fluids from the roadway.
