DOWNEY, CA (July 14, 2019) – Major damage sustained in a crash on southbound 5 Freeway and Paramount Boulevard Sunday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place near Paramount Boulevard around 9:29 PM. Based on an initial report, three vehicles involved in the accident. Police identified the parties as a Nissan Sentra, a blue sedan, and an unknown car.
 
The paramedics arrived for needed medical attention. However, they did not yet released a report regarding any injuries sustained in the crash.
 
The Sentra sustained major front-end damage. In addition, the middle lanes temporarily closed while a clearing operation performed by the authorities.
 
An investigation is still currently ongoing to eventually determine liability. However, police did not give any additional information at this time.
