Major Injury Crash on Heber Road Under Investigation [El Centro, CA]

El Centro, CA (February 13, 2025) – 2 people were hurt early Wednesday morning after a major injury crash on Heber Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the horrific crash happened at around 6:00 a.m. at the intersection of Heber and Anderholt Roads.

Reports say that a northbound pickup truck on Anderholt Road entered the path of an eastbound SUV on Heber Road, causing a collision.

Authorities say that the pickup driver, a 52-year-old woman who was not wearing a seatbelt, suffered major injuries.

Emergency responders airlifted her to Desert Regional Medical Center via Mercy Air. Meanwhile, the 47-year-old SUV driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, sustained minor injuries and was transported to El Centro Regional Medical Center.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash to determine further details.
