1 Dead in Hemet Pedestrian Accident on Domenigoni Parkway

 
HEMET, CA (July 30, 2020) – Early Tuesday morning, a male pedestrian died in a crash on Domenigoni Parkway.
 
The incident occurred at 12:40 a.m. on Domenigoni Parkway, just east of Warren Road.
 
According to Sgt. Dan Reinbolt, a motorist hit the pedestrian walking in eastbound lanes. Moreover, the driver had no time to stop before he saw the victim.
 
After the crash, the driver quickly stopped. However, another motorist driving behind him also hit the pedestrian.
 
Both drivers contacted 911 and remained at the scene.
 
When the Hemet Fire Department paramedics arrived, they declared the victim dead at the scene.
 
“It is not clear why the pedestrian was walking within the roadway,” Reinbolt added.
 
The authorities closed the eastbound Domenigoni Parkway, between Warren Road and Sanderson Avenue, during the investigation. Meanwhile, the incident didn’t affect the westbound side.
 
By 10:00 a.m., the authorities lifted the closure.
