Man Dead in Spurs Ranch Hit-and-Run Crash [San Antonio, TX]

San Antonio, TX (July 17, 2026) – A ma was fatally injured following a Spurs Ranch hit-and-run crash early Thursday morning.

The deadly traffic crash happened before 5 a.m. at the 5000 block area, near U.S. Highway 90.

Police said a person noticed what appeared to be a body on the road and stopped to help the man who looked like he was hit by a vehicle.

Immediately, the authorities responded to the scene and found the man dead.

According to the authorities, the person who found the man said they did not see the initial crash.

Investigators determined that a red Nissan Sentra fled the scene after the impact. 

The vehicle is missing pieces of its left front side and the side-view mirror.

Police said the Nissan Sentra’s driver could face a charge of failure to stop and render aid causing death.
