38-Year-Old Man Injured in Horrific Hit-and-Run Crash on La Jolla Village Drive [San Diego, CA]

San Diego, CA (July 4, 2025) – A hit-and-run crash on La Jolla Village Drive seriously injured a 38-year-old man Tuesday night.

According to San Diego police, the frightening crash happened near the intersection of La Jolla Village Drive and Town Centre Drive.

Reports say that the man was crossing near the west crosswalk when a vehicle struck him. The driver left the scene without stopping, and investigators have not confirmed the vehicle’s direction or identified any witnesses.

Emergency responders transported the victim to a nearby hospital. He sustained head, face, and leg abrasions, along with a fractured shinbone and broken ribs. Authorities have not released details about his current condition.
