WOOD HEIGHTS, MO (April 26, 2026) – Saturday afternoon, an alarming 2-vehicle crash near Route M and Highway 10 injured a man.

The incident occurred at about 5:45 p.m. near Route M and Highway 10.

Investigators said a 20-year-old man from Excelsior Springs was driving a 1994 Suzuki when a 66-year-old woman pulled out of a private driveway in a 2014 Chevrolet, leading to a collision.

Emergency crews transported the man to Liberty Hospital with serious injuries. The woman was not reported to be hurt.

Troopers said the Suzuki was totaled, while the Chevrolet had minor damage. Both drivers were wearing safety devices at the time of the crash.

Authorities have not released the names of those involved. The investigation remains ongoing.
