Man in Wheelchair Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Tomahawk Road [Apple Valley, CA]

Apple Valley, CA (November 30, 2024) – A man in a wheelchair sustained injuries following a hit-and-run crash on Tomahawk Road late Tuesday afternoon.

The emergency rescuers responded at 5:37 p.m. on November 26 to a vehicle-pedestrian collision west of Rancherias Road.

When they arrived, firefighters located the man near the dirt shoulder next to his wheelchair. 

Troopers said the involved driver had fled the scene before the authorities arrived.

The victim incurred non-life-threatening injuries and was able to communicate with first responders. The rescuers transported him to St. Mary’s Medical Center for further evaluation.

Moreover, investigators said several broken car parts were scattered at the crash scene. 

Pieces of evidence from the scene have been collected to help identify the vehicle and its driver.
