Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Highway 65 in Wheatland

Wheatland, CA (March 7, 2025) – A car crash on Highway 65 near Wheatland claimed the life of a 23-year-old man on Friday morning. 

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a Nissan Altima veered into the opposite lane for unknown reasons and collided with a black Chevrolet pickup.

The impact injured a 39-year-old Roseville man, who was transported to the hospital for treatment of what officials described as “moderate injuries.” 

CHP confirmed that drugs and alcohol are not suspected to have played a role in the crash.

Authorities temporarily closed a portion of the freeway after the accident but later reopened it.
