1 Dead in Albuquerque Pedestrian Accident on 12th Street NW and La Poblana Road NW

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (October 7, 2025) – Monday, a man died in a brutal hit-and-run crash on 12th Street NW and La Poblana Road NW.

The incident occurred just after midnight in the 3000 block of 12th St NW, near the intersection of 12th Street NW and La Poblana Road NW.

When officers arrived, they found a male lying on the side of the road who was beyond medical help. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to investigators from the Albuquerque Police Department, a blue Ford truck traveling north on 12th Street struck the pedestrian and then fled. Detectives say the suspect vehicle likely has major damage to the front passenger side, including a missing section of the front bumper and passenger headlamp.

APD’s Fatal Crash Team is handling the investigation. More details will be released as they become available.
