Man Killed in Brutal Pedestrian Crash on Wooley Road

1 Dead in Oxnard Pedestrian Accident on Wooley Road and Commercial Avenue

OXNARD, CA (May 6, 2026) – Saturday night, a 51-year-old man died in a brutal pedestrian crash on Wooley Road and Commercial Avenue.

The incident happened at about 11:31 p.m. on Wooley Road and Commercial Avenue.

Officers with the Oxnard Police Department responded to a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian near Wooley Road and Commercial Avenue.

First responders found a 51-year-old man in the eastbound lanes with major injuries. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

A preliminary investigation found the man was crossing Wooley Road just west of Commercial Avenue when he was struck by a westbound Ford Expedition. The impact pushed him into the eastbound lanes.

The investigation is ongoing.
