GRASS VALLEY, CA (October 23, 2025) – Tuesday night, a man died in a devastating pedestrian crash on Highway 49 and Bethel Church Way.

The incident happened at about 9:30 p.m. on Highway 49 and Bethel Church Way.

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a pickup truck near a church, according to officials.

The man died at the scene and has not yet been identified. Meanwhile, CHP said the driver remained on site and is cooperating with the investigation. Alcohol or drugs are not believed to be factors.
